Boston Marathon or walk for Safe Sex

With the 2013 Boston Marathon coming up this weekend I was thinking why I’m I not running. Oh yeah I didn’t even try to quality. Opps maybe next time, not really just keep walking.

As a former track athlete, I have done great event like World's Best 10k in San Juan, Puerto Rico a few years ago, but never a marathon. I very much respect the people that can actually get it done, as for me I’m not quite sure I wana die at 11 kilometers.

Anyhow, I had the opportunity to hear a very enthusiastic presentation at Emerson College a by the lady that created the Kaplan Thaler group. She presented an array of great work her agency produced including the next funny video.

Boston marathon, ha these marathoners are all super fit, athletic, fast and dedicated. Good for them.

But for me and hundreds of others that have good intentions of staying fit but don’t run countless miles.
Why not walk for a good cause instead, such as safe sex?

Sooooooooooo, walk or run? LOL

Hang Time

What makes NBA games exiting? For me I have to say it’s, mostly the high flying dunks, ankle breaking cross-over’s, long range 3 pointers and lastly the “and one” moves.
Thankfully, if I blink and miss some of the action, the instant slow motion reply will show every second of action frame by frame.
Where do you think the logo for Air Jordan came from? Yeah, it was a picture from a slow motion replay.
Check this video of ridiculous Hang Time

SCAMPER is a creative tool/ acronym I learned in my first semester at Emerson College. It stands for:
S-substitution, C-combine, A-adapt, M-modify, P-put to another use- E-eliminate, R-reverse
I find the video funny because it dehumanizes the “almighty” dunk and shows the reverse effects of a televises instant replay  by modifying the time length of a dunk, puts that time to multiple uses such as reading and answering a phone call.
I thought the video was really well planned out and filmed, I thought it was funny.

Fake Ad

While online I stumbled across this, a fake ad.

I saw BBDO and asked myself, umm a great advertising agency making fake ads? What does a fake ad look like?

Although I was expecting something odd I did know what.

When the “car crashed” my first reaction was to laugh, mainly because it was unexpected.

After looking closely, the ad promotes auto insurance.

If this was geared towards a different audience I would expect something along the lines of

“don’t text and drive.” Or the ad highlighting the safety aspects of a car brand.

What do you think, funny or not?
